A sturdy, easy to fit and very effective doggie gate that has stopped all night time incursions into our bedroom, allowing the dogs to see upstairs rather than their feeling shut away. We have two older dogs, one showing cognitive decline and he was becoming very disruptive at night. If he slept with us in the bedroom, he'd be huffing and wanfering periodically throughout the night, the other more active dog only settling if his bed was beside me, which made my getting up in the night hazardous. We tried blocking the downstairs off at night but the elderly dog just got upset and barked at hourly intervals. Why we didn't think of this sooner I don't know, but after careful research we decided on this gate. And now everyone sleeps through the night! An excellent purchase. I just hope the plastic closing bolts hold up!

Easy to install, looks a lot nicer then your average ‘baby gate’ and not as chunky but is strong enough to keep my Shiba in the kitchen when we are out. For the price I think it’s great and that extra bit of height puts my mind at ease that she won’t attempt a run and jump!!

Fairly good quality and build, although the closure catches do seem a bit flimsy and 'plasticy'. That said, time will tell against longevity. Other than that, it's easy to install, imo slightly nicer than plain white ones, and it's got a self closure feature, as well as a 'stay open' feature, which is quite handy.

Bought this to stop kitten running out front door onto street. Gap between bars is small so although with effort kitten could get through it slows him does enough to do the job. I might attach mesh to it, as seen others have done this. Height a bit low so cat or dog could jump it but again would need to think about it so slows them down. You do have to fix cups to door frame so not totally simple to fix. I’d say it’s semi permanent, but the cups make it more secure.
